Disadvantages:

1. Wordpress Scripting :- For advanced users who are familiar with more advanced techniques like scripting, Wordpress uses its own script. And knowledge of the Wordpress script is necessary for things like adding or removing post dates. 

2. Design Knowledge Required :- To make unique designs in Wordpress you need knowledge of the CSS style sheet language, and odds are that if you have this sort of designing knowledge you will want a more powerful toolset like those available in Drupal-like CMSs.

3. PHP Security : - Unfortunately the PHP security for Wordpress has a shoddy track record and security isn’t as strong as some of the other platforms. This will only be a factor depending on how sensitive the content of your site is.

Gmail new look with features

After the arrival of Google+, Google is now concentrating on the appearance of all the Google services. Already Google.com and Gmail Interface got the Google+ look, now the Gmail Login page got the new look of Google+.Now carefully analyzing the new design, we see the left side of the page pretty similar. However the real changes are made on the top side of the page, which has now “Google” image icon at the left side, and on the right there is given an option to “Create an account”.


New Features :

1.  Mail, Contacts, and Tasks links have moved to the top left of Gmail.
2.  Compose mail is now a button rather than a link.
3.  A smaller header area puts the first message in your inbox about 16 pixels higher on the screen.
4.  The Select All, None, Read, Unread, and Starred links that used to be above your messages are now options in a drop-down menu, next to the Archive button.
5.  Contacts work a lot more like Mail. Keyboard shortcuts now work in Contacts too, and we’ve made selecting and grouping contacts more like selecting and labeling email.
6.  Sort contacts by last name. Look under More actions for this option.
7.  Use custom labels for phone numbers and other fields. For example, you can label a phone number as “Vacation home.” Please be aware, ActiveSync for iPhone and Blackberry Sync don’t yet support custom labels so custom labeled numbers/emails/etc. may not appear on your phone.
8.  Undo. Now, when you make changes to your contacts, you can undo your recent changes.
9.  Automatic saving. You no longer need to worry about “edit” mode or “view” mode -- just edit away and Gmail will save your changes.
10. Structured name fields. You can now set name components (i.e. Title, First, Middle, Last and Suffix) explicitly or continue to use the name field as a free form area if you prefer a less structured approach.
11. Manual and bulk contact merge. You can now merge contacts from the More actions menu. Just select the contacts you’d like to merge and select Merge contacts from under the More actions menu. Or, to get a list of suggestions for contacts to merge, select Find and merge duplicates.

This isn't every single thing there is to know about Google+. That could probably be a book rather than an article, and the Google+ Project has only just begun. If Google has its way, it will live on for years. Or it could go the Google Wave route. It's just too early to tell.

Do you think Google+ will succeed? Share your thoughts in the comments. While we'll no doubt learn plenty more about Google+ as time goes on, here are some quick nuggets to get you a little more acquainted with it.

1. Google+ is currently available on an invitation-only basis.

2. Google does not consider it a Facebook competitor (at least publicly).

3. Google+ is currently available for download as an app in the Android Market.

4. When you download that app, it splits off the "Huddle" feature as a separate app.

5. Users can post status updates, and these appear on the Google Profile under a tab called "Posts". The +1's and Buzz tabs remain separate. I have to wonder if we'll see Buzz and Posts merge eventually.

6. What is available now is "just the beginning" according to Google. These are just the first features or presumably many more to come.

7. Circles is one current feature. It lets you share things with different people (kind of like Facebook Groups) but with a very different user interface. Watch this video.

8. Another feature is Sparks. This looks for videos and articles it thinks you'll like, so "when you're free, there's always something to watch, read, and share." Filter Bubble anyone?

9. Hangouts is another feature. It's basically group video chat. Google describes it as "the unplanned meet-up."

10. Instant uploads is a mobile-specific feature. Photos upload themselves as you take them, and are stored in a private area on the cloud.

11. Huddle is another group-conversation feature for mobile. Essentially, it's group chat.

12. The stream is basically the equivalent of the Facebook news feed.

13. When you share something with Google+ it's added to your stream and the stream of everyone you shared with.

14. The stream shows you what all of your Circles have shared with you.

15. If you mention a user, using the "+" or "@" symbols, the person may receive a notification that you mentioned them.

16. You can see who specific posts were shared with in the stream -- whether they were shared publicly, to extended circles, or a limited group.

17. You can filter the stream by specific Circles.

20. You can search for people from the search box at the top of the stream.

22. If you leave comments on a post, you can edit or delete them.

25. You can "mute" a post. This will let you stop receiving updates from a post, like if the comments get out of control for example.

26. You can use the "Google+ Bar" that appears at the top of various Google products as your connection to the social network.

27. When you're signed in you'll see your full name or email address displayed with a photo or avatar next to it, to help you identify which account you're currently signed in to.

Yii Framework (PHP) Explained – A Practical Approach

Hey friends..I’m using Yii Framework for quite a few days now, and things which I found impressive about Yii framework are:

1. Easy 2-step Installation.
2. Clean and thorough Tutorials and Documentation with large Community base. In fact, if you’re willing to start using Yii, follow this tutorial by Larry Ulman – The best I found so far, on the Internet, from a beginner’s perspective.
